About Michelle Marceau, Founder
Director and Founder of the Greenwich Performing Arts Studio, Michelle made her television debut at age nine in a Tropicana Orange Juice commercial and continued doing commercials through High School. While continuing her professional career, she received a BFA from Boston Conservatory in Drama and Dance, where she performed throughout Europe and the USA as a dancer. On her return to the USA, Michelle had the distinct honor of becoming Joanne Woodward's private ballet teacher for three years. She began her career as a choreographer with the National Shakespeare Company in NYC. She performed and choreographed in commercials and Off-Broadway, toured with the American Dance Machine, and acted in Soap Operas. The latter led to Michelle's selection as the first permanent choreographer of Daytime Dramas and allowed her to work with such outstanding performers as BeBe Neuwirth and Susan Stroman. In addition, she helped create SRO Productions, a production company dedicated to bringing new works to Off-Broadway. Michelle has been teaching all levels of Theatre Arts for the last 24 years in Greenwich.
